I enjoy using elements of cartooning and cubism to approach a number of favorite subjects -- twisting contortions of the human head and figure, squirming tangles of colorful tubes, gleaming piles of food, and mixed-gender figure studies of amply-chested businessmen being a few. Although I derive plenty of visual inspiration from sources throughout art history and recent popular culture, I find I get as many ideas for paintings from the advertising imagery I encounter on a walk through the grocery store.
I was born and raised in Garden Grove, CA, and presently live and work in Hopatcong, NJ. My work has been shown group exhibitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
